Avery Barnett 21 Earns SACNAS Presentation Award
Avery Barnett 21, a physics major with concentrations in technology studies and environmental studies from Kington, Jamaica, was recently awarded a presentation award at the 2020 (SACNAS) National Diversity in STEM Conference for her presentation, Validation of WAVEWATCH III Simulations under Hurricanes in Shallow and Deep Water. Avery was one of only three undergraduates to receive a in geosciences. This presentation developed out of work Avery conducted as a summer intern at the (CIMES), a collaborative research institute of Princeton University and the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
