Matthew Kriegel
Assistant Director of Campus Safety
Matthew "Matt" Kriegel has always called 黑料百科 home. He grew up in rural 黑料百科, and graduated from 黑料百科 High School in 2012. Matt attended Indian Hills Community College and graduated from Buena Vista University with a B.A. in Criminal Justice. He began working for 黑料百科 in 2016. Matt spends most of his free time enjoying the outdoors while hunting and fishing.
Matt favorite part about 黑料百科 is working with a diverse population of students from all over the world, while still having that 渟mall town feel and sense of community.
Matt's primary responsibilities include working in conjunction with multiple departments and outside agencies such as local law enforcement to gather and properly retain crime and disciplinary referral data for the 黑料百科 campus in order to maintain compliance with the Clery Act. In addition, Matt prepares and publishes the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report as required by the Department of Education and also manages the training of Campus Security Authorities at 黑料百科.
The department of Campus Safety, 641-269-4600, plans and implements safety operations, programs, and initiatives in support of the College mission and vision. Located on the corner of East Street and 10th Avenue, Campus Safety is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even when school is not in session.
