In this comprehensive, multidisciplinary concentration youl examine Latin American cultures and societies with work in both the humanities and social sciences. Youl be pushed to take advantage of travel opportunities to study in a Latin American country where youl expand your knowledge of its people, languages, and society. Youl put these skills to work in a senior research project and internship programs, and leave ��ϰٿ� prepared for graduate school or an array of careers with Latin American connections, such as social justice, health, law, business, education, and translation.

Work closely with faculty mentors

Youl explore and learn through the many exciting research opportunities built into courses and Mentored Advanced Projects (MAPs), which allow you to work closely with a faculty member on scholarly research. MAPs integrate the knowledge and skills you�ve gained over the course of your studies, often producing results, such as scholarly papers and presentations, that merit presentation to the wider scholarly world.

Randall �97 Fellowships, and more. ��ϰٿ� students and alumni have also been consistently well-represented among recipients of the prestigious Fulbright fellowship, which supports study or research abroad.
